Carol Jean Davis, 61, of Humansville, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at CMH Hospital, Bolivar. She was born in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Joe and Eleanor Adams Slater.

Carol was married to Charles L. (Chuck) Davis on November 20, 1965 and they enjoyed 46 years together. She worked as an LPN for 22 years, many of those years at Cottonwood Healthcare Center, Galesburg, Illinois. She then decided to change careers and go to college. She obtained an Associates Degree in computer programming and worked 5 years as a computer programmer before moving to Humansville in 2009. Carol loved the Humansville area, making many friends, watching the wildlife and fishing. She enjoyed traveling with Chuck on their motorcycle, flying in the airplane as Chuck's "co-pilot", and camping. She was a very good seamstress having made several wedding and prom dresses for family and friends. She was an active member of the Humansville United Methodist Church.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister Charlene, and an infant sister.

She is survived by her husband Chuck of the home; sons Robert Davis and wife Traci of Denver, Colorado, and Bradley Davis and wife Tamara of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter Carey Anderson and husband Charles of Galesburg, Illinois; brother Joe Slater of Primrose, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 4, 2012, at Murray Funeral Home, Humansville, officiated by Pastor Amy Wood. Burial will follow in the Humansville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM prior to the service.
